Representative Windol C. Weaver
Representative Windol Weaver is serving his third term in the Maine House of Representatives representing District 150, the town of York.
Rep. Weaver has had a long and distinguished career of public service, both as a military officer and as a local official. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Rep. Weaver served in the Air Force for 23 years and was decorated four times during his three Vietnam tours from 1967 to 1970. He retired from active duty in 1987 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Rep. Weaver and his family moved to York in 1980 where he became active in town affairs after his military retirement. He has been a member of the town Finance Committee (Budget Committee) since 1998, serving three years as chair. He has also served on the Capital Committee, which plans and coordinates large capital projects for all three components of town government. At the county level, Rep. Weaver has served as a member of the York County Budget Committee.
Rep. Weaver has worked as a stockbroker and is an active member of the Daedalians, an association of retired military pilots which provides scholarships for students interested in careers in aviation. He is a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the American Legion. He attends the First Parish Church.
Rep. Weaver and his wife, Sondra, have two children and four grandchildren.
