Representative Peter B. Rioux
Peter Rioux is the State Representative for House District 42, which spans the Waldo County towns of Brooks, Jackson, Monroe, Swanville, Waldo and Winterport. He lives in Winterport with his wife of 27 years, Susan. They have one child
Rep. Rioux has been appointed to sit on the Transportation Committee for the 125th Legislature.
Rep. Rioux was raised on a potato farm in Aroostook County. He worked in the construction and forestry industries before settling into the trade of Clockmaker, opening his own small business. Rep. Rioux is a scholar of Horology as well as a machinist and historian. He is a member of good standing in many national and international Clockmaker and Horological Societies. He is a member of the Winterport Union Meeting House and Winterport Historical Society.
Rep. Rioux received his Associates degree from the University of Maine. He is a member of the Winterport Business Association. Rep. Rioux represents School District SAD 22 in the 125th Legislature.
