Representative Roger E. Reed
Rep. Roger Reed is serving his first term in the Maine House, representing District 23, which includes Carmel, Hermon, Etna, and Stetson outside of Bangor.
Reed earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Farmington State College and his Master's in Education from the University of Southern Maine. For the past 47 years, Roger has been a history teacher and basketball coach at Bangor Christian School and Bangor High School. He is one of the most recognized figures on Maine's high school basketball scene, having brought eight Gold Balls to Bangor High.
When not patrolling the sidelines of the Bangor High hardwood, Roger enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, including his wife of 51 years, Norma, and their two children and five grandchildren.
