Represenative Lance E. Harvell
Representative Lance Harvell of Farmington is serving his second term in the Maine House of Representatives representing District 89, which includes Farmington and Industry. He was elected in a February 2009 special election.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Rep. Harvell has been married for 22 years to Bernadette, whom he met and married while serving in the Netherlands. He is a published author of a sportsman's book and a lifelong hunter and fisherman. In addition, Rep. Harvell is a UMF non-traditional student majoring in political science and history.
Rep. Harvell has been a long-term Verso Paper employee. He helped coach t-ball and live pitch while his son and daughter played and he helps with the local community garden. He drives a fuel efficient car, lives in a small, energy efficient house, and raises a large organic garden every year.
Rep. Harvell and his wife have two children, Joshua and Rachel.
