Representative Karen D. Foster
Rep. Foster is the State Representative for House District 58, which includes Vassalboro, Windsor, and part of Augusta. She lives in Augusta with her husband, Thomas, with whom she has four grown sons.
Rep. Foster will serve on the Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Committee and the Judiciary Committee for the 125th Legislature.
Rep. Foster spent 20 years in small business operating a floral shop. She is also an experienced wedding and event coordinator as well as a substitute teacher.
Rep. Foster has a wealth of community experience, serving three terms in the Augusta City Council, on the Fort Western trustee board, the Cony High School Building Committee, the 3rd Bridge Committee, and the Augusta Civic Center Expansion Committee. She is also involved in the Kennebec Valley Garden Club, the Windsor Fair Association, and is a former Rotarian. Rep. Foster has received the Frederick Savage Award for service and leadership.
Rep. Foster represents Cony High School, Erskine Academy, and the Elementary Schools of Windsor and Vassalboro.
Her personal interests include reading, gardening, raising Black Angus cattle, and cooking.
