Representative Joyce A. Fitzpatrick
Joyce Fitzpatrick is the State Representative for House District 8, which includes the Aroostook County towns of Amity, Hodgdon, Houlton, Orient, and Cary Plantation.
She lives in Houlton with her husband of 48 years, Peter.
Rep. Fitzpatrick serves on the Insurance and Financial Services Committee.
Rep. Fitzpatrick enters her freshman term with years of solid local government experience and community service. She has served on Houlton's Town Council on both the Budget and the Finance Committees. She has also served on the Board of Directors for the Aroostook County Chapter of the United Way, as President of the Rotary Club, and as a charter member for the Literacy Volunteers of America (Houlton Chapter). Rep. Fitzpatrick is currently a licensed property and casualty insurance agent and has been an active member of the insurance industry for 34 years. Rep. Fitzpatrick's heart for the citizens of her community has shaped her vision for the legislature.
Rep. Fitzpatrick graduated valedictorian from Ricker Classical Institute in Houlton and attended one year at Ricker College.
Her personal pursuits include reading, painting, writing, gardening, and genealogy. Rep. Fitzpatrick has four children and six grandchildren.
