Representative Brian M. Duprey
Rep. Brian Duprey represents District 39, which includes Dixmont, Hampden, and Newburgh. He is a former four-term legislator who was termed out in 2008. As the ranking Republican on the Labor Committee in the 123rd Legislature, Brian was repeatedly praised by the Maine Chamber of Commerce for his ability to work both sides of the aisle to improve Maine's business climate. He served previously on two other committees - Business and Economic Development, and Judiciary.
Rep. Duprey attended Lawrence High School and the University of Maryland. A veteran of eight years' service in the U.S. Navy, Brian is CEO of Duprey Enterprises Inc., the largest daycare operator in the Bangor area. He served on the Hampden Town Council from 2001 to 2003 and is a licensed private pilot. Brian and his wife, Carol, reside in Hampden and have five children.
