Representative Dana L. Dow
Dana Dow is the State Representative for House District 50, which includes Bremen, Nobleboro, Waldoboro, and part of Jefferson. He lives in Waldoboro with his wife of 21 years, Lisa. They have four children.
Rep. Dow and his wife currently own Dow Furniture. He formerly taught chemistry and physics at Medomak Valley High School.
Rep. Dow received his bachelor of science in Education from the University of Southern Maine.
During the 125th Legislature he will serve on the newly named Labor, Commerce, Research and Economic Development Committee. He will also serve on the newly formed Joint Select Committee on Regulatory Fairness and Reform. Rep. Dow served in the 122nd Legislature on the Business, Research and Economic Development Committee and on the Government Oversight Committee. Rep. Dow served in the 123rd Legislature on the Labor Committee, the Marine Resources Committee, and the Government Oversight Committee.
He has served his community in the Waldoboro Economic Community Development Committee and Medomak Valley Recreation Committee. Rep. Dow sits on the Board of Directors of RSU/SAD 40.
Rep. Dow's personal interests include hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities.
