Representative Peter Doak
Peter Doak is serving his first term in the Maine House, representing District 33, which includes Addison, Beals, Cherryfield, Columbia, Columbia Falls, Harrington, Jonesport, Milbridge and Steuben.
Rep. Doak is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he retired in 1981 as a Lieutenant Colonel after 20 years of service. He served two tours in Vietnam as a Special Forces officer, earning a Combat Infantry Badge, a Bronze Star, the Legion of Merit, and the Gallantry Cross.
He holds a B.A. from the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Science in education from Alfred University. Rep. Doak has worked in education since his retirement from the Army, and is currently the principal of Lubec Consolidated School.
Rep. Doak is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Military Officers' Association. He enjoys reading, gardening, hunting, fishing, and travel. Rep. Doak lives with his wife, Barbara, and has three children.
