Representative Jarrod S. Crockett
Representative Jarrod Crockett of Bethel was first elected to the Maine House of Representatives in 2008, representing District 91, which includes the towns of Bethel, Eustis, Gilead, Hanover, Kingfield, Newry, Rangeley, Stoneham, Upton, and Woodstock, the Plantations of Dallas, Lincoln and Magalloway, and the unorganized territories of East Central Franklin, North Franklin, North Oxford, South Oxford and Milton Township.
Rep. Crockett worked as a logger in the family business and graduated from Gould Academy. He holds a degree in political science from Radford University in Virginia, which he attended on a ROTC scholarship. He served as an Army infantry officer until 2003, when he left to attend law school. He is now a licensed attorney in Maine.
In late 2005, as a captain in the Maine Army National Guard, Rep. Crockett assumed command of a company in Afghanistan, where he also served as a combat advisor. During his 18-month tour in Afghanistan, he was awarded a Bronze Star and the Combat Infantryman Badge. Earlier in his career, he worked as an intern for Sen. Olympia Snowe. Jarrod is a life member of the VFW and the Bethel Historical Society and also is a member of the American Legion and the Alder River Grange.
Rep. Crockett resides in East Bethel with his wife, Paige.
