House Republican Leader's Statement on Governor's Remarks

House Republican Leader Ken Fredette (R-Newport) issued the following statement in response to the Governor's remarks this morning.

"First, it's important to understand that Republicans and Democrats in the Legislature will continue to do their work. That said, I understand the Governor's frustration that Democrats have stalled his jobs bill while fast-tracking a bill to sell alcohol at 6:00 AM on St. Patrick's Day. It is unconscionable that Democrats are obstructing a responsible plan to pay this years-old debt to our hospitals and inject $600 million into Maine's economy to create jobs. Big-spending liberals have been putting Augusta ahead of Main Street for far too long, and things have to change."
