AUGUSTAState Reps. Paul Davis (R-Sangerville) and Pete Johnson (R-Greenville) would like to remind all students seeking financial aid for college of the importance of filing the 2011-2012 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The program, called College Goal Maine, is a statewide volunteer program coordinated by the Finance Authority of Maine (FAME). It provides free information and assistance to students and families who are applying for post-secondary education.
At 6 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2011, FAME will host a free financial aid workshop at Greenville High School located at 130 Pritham Ave in Greenville. If families are unable to attend the February 14th event, FAME will be offering workshops at 9 additional sites throughout February.

At each site, FAME will provide coaching staff to walk individuals through the application line by line and answer questions regarding state and federal financial aid programs. Attendees should bring copies of their most recent tax information.
