The Personnel Committee reviews matters involving personnel policies that affect legislators and legislative staff, and recommends various personnel policies to the Legislative Council.  The committee acts as the search committee for recruitment of nonpartisan office directors.  In conjunction with the executive director, it conducts performance reviews of office directors and decides step increase for eligible office directors, Constitutional Officers, the House Clerk and the Senate Secretary.  The Personnel Committee is a standing committee of the Legislative Council and usually meets monthly.
