Unemployment Benefit Payment Options

You have two options for receiving your unemployment benefit payments:

• Direct Deposit - your benefit payments are deposited to your checking or savings account; or
• Maine Automated Payment (MAP) Visa Debit Card - your benefit payments are deposited to a prepaid debit card that can be used at ATMs, financial institutions and anywhere that the Visa logo is displayed.

The Maine Department of Labor no longer issues paper unemployment checks.
