Volunteer Opportunity - Become a Trained Facilitator
The Department of Labor is looking for up to 12 people interested in becoming facilitators who will be trained to use the lean model for organizational review. Selected candidates must have their supervisors approval for a commitment of five days training in January and of approximately ten facilitation days per year. This is an 18-month commitment. The Volunteer Opportunity will be posted again at the end of the 18 months.
Candidates must be available on Friday, January 14, and from Tuesday, January 18 through Friday, January 21, for training in the Augusta area. This will constitute the five training days mentioned above, during which facilitators will be trained on lean principles and Value Stream Mapping, as well as on facilitation skills.
The selection process will begin with candidates' applications. Please submit a letter (e-mail) of interest, to include the reason for your interest and related experience. This should be submitted to me electronically by the close of business on Friday, December 17. Applications will be reviewed during the week of December 20, and interviews scheduled over the following two weeks. Interviews will be used to assess skills and aptitude. Successful candidates will be notified as soon as possible.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you!
