Project Process
Below is the typical project flow for a website design with InforME. This may vary slightly from one project to another.
Site Planning
- Project initiated, Project Workbook delivered to Agency
- Agency Team formed and Project Workbook completed
- Agency Team and InforME Team work together to define project scope
- Quote proposal delivered to Agency and signed
- Agency prepares state contract and submits to Purchasing for approval
- InforME adds project to schedule and develops timeline
Site Architecture
- InforME and Agency develop site architecture, navigation system, and content delivery plan
- Agency signs off on site architecture
Site Design
- InforME and Agency discuss desired color scheme and header design
- InforME designs agency header and builds prototype of front page (using standard Maine.gov templates)
- Agency reviews and provides feedback
- InforME revises designs and submits for second review
- Agency reviews and provides feedback
- InforME revises designs
- Agency signs off on final site design
- InforME submits first project invoice
- Agency delivers all content electronically to InforME
Site Production
- InforME implements design, produces HTML pages with content
- InforME adds technical functionality as required
Site Testing by InforME
- Accessibility testing
- Code verification; Cross-platform/browser testing
- General functionality and quality assurance testing
Agency Testing and Site Launch
- Agency evaluation of Test Site
- Final corrections by InforME
- Agency signs Site Launch form, authorization to launch the site
- InforME moves site to final server location and activates for public viewing (site launch)
Project Completion
- InforME provides any accounts/passwords needed for maintenance
- InforME submits final project invoice
