Aircraft Registration Renewal

The Online Aircraft Registration Renewal Service allows electronic renewal of registration and excise tax payment for aircraft via the Internet. As with Rapid Renewal, InforME will facilitate the online transactions, collect the registration fee and excise tax, and forward the registration information and funds (via ACH) to the state and respective municipality.

There is no sign up fee for municipalities to participate in the program. Municipalities may also choose whether they wish to accept credit cards (MasterCard or Visa) and/or electronic checks as payment for aircraft renewal excise tax. Municipalities who opt to accept credit cards absorb the 2.07% merchant fee associated with the purchase (only for the excise tax portion of the transaction). Municipalities pay no merchant fee for payments made by electronic check and will receive the full amount of the paid excise tax. InforME pays for transaction fees associated with electronic checks.
