Borrowing Reports
From time to time, Maine InfoNet staff compile summary statistics using these tools.
Key to Bib Locations and Stat Group Number
Note: Several Web Management reports tally transactions on the basis of group # or terminal #. These designations refer to the login used at the desk where the transaction took place. It is possible for libraries to have multiple logins, allowing them to get separate tallies for different circ points, such as for separate branches or schools in a system. If you don't know the stat group number(s) assigned to your library you can find them from any Millennium module. Just go to: Admin... Parameters... Circulation... Stat Group Maintenance. Note that most circulation logins have been assigned so as to end in "1". Email Maine InfoNet staff if your initials and password do not allow you to see this table.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Minerva's statistical reporting tools are powerful, but sometimes confusing. In addition, they do not exactly match the ways in which Minerva operates, particularly with respect to online requesting and lending. As a result, some background information is needed to understand which tool to use and how to use it for various purposes.

Web Management Statistics reports primarily circulation statistics, including interlibrary lending and borrowing statistics. Just point your browser at http://minerva.maine.edu/manage/. The online manual discusses this set of functions beginning on page 105419.

The Millennium Statistics functionality focuses on collection statistics and can be found within Millennium Circulation, Millennium Cataloging and other Millennium staff software modules. If the MilStats mode is not visible along the left side of the screen email Maine InfoNet staff to enable the mode for your logon. The online manual describes MilStats beginning at page 105586.

Lending transactions partially or wholly outside of Minerva are reported on the MaineCat statistical site. General statistics about the MaineCat database are found at another MaineCat site.
