Maine InfoNet Implementation Schedule, 1999 - 2001

Highlights

Highlights of the implementation schedule for the major pieces of the Maine InfoNet project.

September, 1999 - Begin data analysis for first four Full Mgt System Libraries ("Y2K Libraries")

October, 199 - Installation of Full Mgt System Server, Upgrade of URSUS Server, Addition of new software capabilities to URSUS,Data profiling of Y2K Libraries

November, 199 - Installation of Full Mgt System software,Test Load of Full Mgt System data,Data profiling of other Full Mgt System Libraries begins

December, 1999 - Load Y2K Library data, implement public access catalog,Implement circulation in Full Management System.

January, 2000 - Apr, 2001 - Load data, implement online public access catalog, circulation, cataloging among Full Management System participants.

October, 2000 - Libraries invited to begin submitting data for the InfoNet Holdings Database

October, 2000 - Begin loading data from 200+ Maine libraries not in any other Innovative Interfaces system into the Info Net Holdings Database, from where they will be posted to the Maine Info Net Statewide Union Catalog.

Early 2001 - Link largest Innovative systems to create Maine InfoNet Statewide Union Catalog, continue loading from additional systems.

First Quarter 2001 - Implement Serials and Acquisitions in Full Management System Libraries that request those modules.

July or August, 2001 - Probable beginning of second year of Full Management System.  Payment for portion of support cost due from participants in Full Management System only.
