Mattawamkeag River WMA

Location: Mostly within Drew Plantation; 4 mi. e of Kingman. The WMA is adjacent to land owned by the Penobscot Indian Nation, shown in dark green.

Habitat: Primarily wetlands along the Mattawamkeag River [lowland conifer, shrub wetlands, peatlands, and an emergent marsh (Mud Pond)].

Appr. size: 4,043 ac.
