Wales Man in Critical Condition after Snowmobile Incident
Augusta, Maine - A 29-year-old Wales man is in critical but stable condition today after falling off of his snowmobile and hitting his head on the ice on Sunday afternoon.
Stephen M. Pushard, 29, of Wales was standing up while driving his 2004 Arctic Cat S7 snowmobile at a slow rate of speed across Sabattus Lake at approximately 12:40 p.m. Sunday. According to Maine Warden Service Game Warden Evan Franklin, the snowmobile abruptly accelerated and Mr. Pushard fell off the machine, hitting his head on the ice.
Mr. Pushard was not wearing a helmet. He was transported by United Ambulance to Central Maine Medical Center, where he’s listed in critical but stable condition this morning.
