Brewer man dies in ATV incident

Beddington – Ryan Webber, 31, of Brewer, died Saturday afternoon (August 9) as the result of an ATV incident on the East Beddington Lake Road in Beddington in Washington County.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., Mr. Webber was riding with a friend, Matthew Craine, 30, also of Brewer, on a gravel road when their four-wheel ATVs rubbed wheels. Mr. Webber came off of his vehicle, hit a steel I-beam placed for a large metal gate, and landed along side of the beam.

CPR was performed and LifeFlight was called to the scene, but Mr. Webber was not transported. He was pronounced dead at 2:17 p.m.

Both Mr. Webber and Mr. Craine were wearing helmets. The incident remains under investigation.
