Maine Warden Service - Brother, Sister Found Safe

Lovell - A four-year-old girl and her three-year-old brother were located safely at approximately 5:40 p.m. today after walking away from their Maine Road home in Lovell less than two hours earlier, according to Warden Tony Gray.

The children’s mother reported them missing about an hour after she noticed they were gone and she and others could not find them, Warden Gray said. The boy was located in the backyard of a neighbor, Joel Hardmen of Coffin Road. The boy was cold, and examined by paramedics at the scene.

Mr. Hardmen also found the girl, who had walked unnoticed into his home, shortly after her brother was found. She was dry, and also examined by paramedics.

Six Game Wardens were called to the scene, as well as the Lovell Fire Department, Lovell Police, paramedics, and a K-9 unit.
