Trapper Education Courses
A trapper education course teaches participants how to responsibly trap furbearing animals and provides a foundation of knowledge upon which to build. Topics in the 10 hour course include proper trapping equipment and use, responsible trap setting, the importance of good wildlife management practices, and habits and traits of furbearers. Students must pass a written exam. All Trapping Educations Courses are homestudy courses. Homestudy requires attendance at all sessions as well as study at home, in order to receive your certificate.
Total = 10 Hours
- Fur Management = 1 Hour
- Tools of the trade = 2 Hours
- Trap Setting = 1 Hour
- Handling Animals = 1 Hour
- Laws and Landowner Relations = 2 Hours
- Field Exercise = 2 Hours
- Exam = 1 Hour
