Governor LePage Proclaims May, 2014 as Neurofibromatosis Awareness Month

WHEREAS, Neurofibromatosis (NF), a debilitating tumor disorder, affects over 100,000 Americans; and WHEREAS, the mission of Neurofibromatosis, Northeast is to find the cure for NF, provide hope and support to NF patients, and create awareness; and WHEREAS, NF, Northeast has launched a comprehensive public awareness campaign; and WHEREAS, the NF families of Maine are determined to make Neurofibromatosis a household word; and WHEREAS, May is National NF Awareness Month. NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAUL R. LEPAGE, Governor of the State of Maine, do hereby recognize May 2014 as NEUROFIBROMATOSIS AWARENESS MONTH throughout the State of Maine, and urge all citizens to recognize this observance.
