> Internship Program
Internship ProgramThe Governor’s office welcomes highly motivated Maine citizens and students with an interest in public policy to work as interns in Governor John E. Baldacci’s office. Internships are a great way to gain valuable work experience, serve the State of Maine, and possibly earn college credit. Internships in the Governor’s office introduce individuals to many aspects of governing, including Constituent Services, Boards & Commissions, and Communications. A résumé and cover letter must be submitted. For a number of reasons, internships in the Governor's office do not include monetary compensation. However, you may be able to be reimbursed through your high school or college, as some interns have in the past. For more information, please call Tammy Quimby in the Governor’s Office at (207) 287-3531. Or write to Governor's Office Internship, 1 State House Station, Augusta, ME 04333-0001.
