At-Large Representative Sought for Maine EMS EMD Committee

The Maine EMS Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) Committee is seeking a person to fill the “At-Large” position on the committee.

The Maine EMS EMD Committee is a standing committee of the Maine Board of Emergency Medical Services. The committee advises the board on emergency medical dispatch issues and has been instrumental in Maine’s EMD implementation. The committee generally meets on the third Thursday in March, June, September and November in Augusta.

To be considered for the “At-Large” position, an individual should have an interest in the emergency medical dispatch system; Emergency Medical Dispatch and/or Emergency Medical Services experience is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• Attending and participating in EMD committee meetings held at the Maine Department of Public Safety in Augusta, Maine;and,

• Providing information and expertise to the committee.
