LEA Performance Profiles

The Department is required under IDEA to report annually to the public on each of Maine’s Local Education Agency (LEA) performance in meeting targets set by the SPP.  The requirement for public reporting on LEA performance is a critical provision in ensuring accountability and focusing on improved results for children with disabilities.  The Department developed reports on five accountability indicators: Graduation, Dropout, Suspension/Expulsion, Classroom Placement and Parent Involvement.
