PAAP Task BankNew content for the 2008-2009 academic year is being posted as it becomes available.
The PAAP Task Bank is a resource provided to Maine educators for use as they implement PAAP's for their students. These tasks were developed and revised by staff from Measured Progress and the Maine Department of Education with revisions based on the feedback of Maine teachers. They have been aligned to Maine's 2007 Learning Results for Grades 3-8 and 11. The PAAP Task Bank is organized by Content Area, Content Standard, Rubric Level and Performance Indicator. Each "Task Bank Entry" provides all of the information and tools necessary to meet the requirements for one Entry developed to measure a Content Standard and specific Performance Indicator. Each Entry posted in the Task Bank includes the Entry Slip, the appropriate number of Task Descriptions and related Tasks based on the Content Area and PAAP Rubric Descriptor to which it is aligned. Once teams have made decisions about the most appropriate Content Standards and Performance Indicators (PI) for the student's course of study, the teacher can review the related Task Bank Entries for those PIs and choose the ones that most closely fit the student's current knowledge and skills. Entries are designated for each of four assessment grade spans: 3 - 4, 5 - 6, 7 - 8, and 10 - 11. To access tasks appropriate for a particular grade span, click one of the links below.
