Handbook

The Personalized Alternate Assessment Portfolio (PAAP) Handbook is intended to provide readers with the materials and tools needed to plan and administer the PAAP. The Handbook should serve as a resource for all phases of the PAAP process throughout the assessment window (December - April) and, in conjunction with the PAAP Alternate Grade Level Expectations, offers the basic tools one needs to provide the opportunity for a student to submit a PAAP that can be reliably scored.

2009-2010 brings significant changes to the PAAP process, standards, and tasks, as Maine's standard assessment system aligns to the New England Common Assessment Program (NECAP). The breadth and depth of these changes will be detailed in the 09-10 Handbook.

Look for the 2009-2010 PAAP Handbook in the fall of 2009.
