The Maine Community College System includes seven colleges located  in South Portland, Wells, Auburn, Bangor, Fairfield, Presque Isle and Calais, as well as eight off-campus centers.  Choose from over 300 one  and two-year certificate, diploma and associate degree programs in a  range of career fields, including health care, computer technology, early childhood education, behavioral health, business services, marine fields,  electronics, precision manufacturing, tourism, and others.  (For a  complete list go to www.mccs.me.edu/programlist.html.) Our colleges also offer an array of credit and non-credit courses.

Our new “community college” name comes with more options for students:

• Choose a community college to prepare for a career or to earn credits toward a four-year baccalaureate program.  Our transfer agreements with area colleges and universities mean you can transfer up to two years of credits. 
• We're adding more programs and courses, including new offerings in the arts and sciences, so students will have more choices and options when planning their curriculum.
• Enroll in college and explore a range of careers.  We're well known for our  excellent career programs and our high graduate placement rate.  Many of our faculty have direct experience in their field, and connections with local employers.

Not sure if college is for you? We offer academic assessment, advising, tutoring, and developmental courses--or we can refer you to Adult Education courses if we don't offer what you need.  In short, whatever your background, we'll help you transition successfully into college.
