The US Census Bureau released a report examining Data from the 2004 Survey of Income and Program Participation on how often and how long US residents were unemployed between January 2004 and the official start of the recession in December 2007. The data are presented by a variety of demographic characteristics, including race, Hispanic origin, sex, age and educational attainment.
