Maine State Police Internship ProgramThe Maine State Police offers a unique internship opportunity to those interested in pursuing a career in Maine Law Enforcement. Selected applicants will take part in a "front line" internship with Troopers as they perform their day to day duties. Interns will experience many areas of the Maine State Police including, but not limited to, Rural Patrol, Major Crimes Unit, Training, Maine Information and Analysis Center (MIAC), Specialties and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement. The Maine State Police internship program provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn and serve through first-hand participation in law enforcement or related careers in criminal justice. Maine State Police Recruitment Now OpenThe Maine State Police hiring process is now open and seeking qualified candidates for anticipated vacancies. Experienced law enforcement officers, as well as those with no law enforcement background, are encouraged to apply. State Police VideoThis video was produced in conjunction with the New England School of Communications in Bangor. It will give you an idea of what the Maine State Police is about. You will learn some of the things that Troopers do and the capabilities of specialized units within the Maine State Police. Maine State Police Junior Trooper AcademyThe Maine State Police will be hosting a three-day Junior Trooper Academy. This is a Career Orientation Program to be held on June 19, 20 and 21, 2013. The program is open to any High School Junior or Senior who has a strong interest in learning about a career with the Maine State Police. Lodging and meals will be provided at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro to those selected and invited from a pool of submitted applications. There is no fee associated with the program, and overnight stay will be a requirement. |
