July 21, 2006: Important Notice to All Licensees
Local and County Police Departments given authority to Enforce Liquor Laws.
Pursuant to Title 28-A, subsection 82-A,the Commissioner of Public Safety can enter into agreements with local and county police departments giving them permission to enforce administrative liquor violations. This agreement gives the local authorities the right to enter licensed establishments expressly for the purpose of investigating liquor violations. Beginning July of 2006, the Department of Public Safety will be extending the enforcement authority in accordance with Title 28-A subsection 82-A.
