Crash Severity Facts & Statistics

The data represented in the graphs below provides information on highway crashes and fatalities. Much of this information is gathered from our FARS system, which records data on fatal crashes in Maine for input into a larger national record-keeping system of statistical data. FARS data is also used by MeBHS and the Maine State Police to analyze enforcement priorities and schedules.
