Recently Shelly Yankowsky from Consolidated Communications Orono took part in the Camp P.O.S.T.C.A.R.D. festivities. Camp P.O.S.T.C.A.R.D. (Police Officers Striving To Create And Reinforce Dreams) provides kids with direct involvement and mentoring with a variety of law enforcement and criminal justice professionals.

Welcome To The Regional Communications Center Orono
The Regional Communication Center in Orono has recently been upgraded to include some of the latest in communications equipment.
The Orono RCC serves the people of Hancock, Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Washington counties, and is responsible for receiving and
relaying public safety information, instructions, and requests from and to the general public and police, fire, and rescue personnel
via computer, teletype, radio and telephone. We also provide Emergency Medical Dispatch information via telephone to persons requiring
medical assistance while waiting for rescue personnel.
