National Youth Science Camp

The Maine Department of Education coordinates the annual recruitment and selection of state delegates for the National Youth Science Camp (NYSC). NYSC's residential summer program offers educational forums and recreational activities that encourage the development of thoughtful scientific leadership.

Two graduating seniors are selected annually to represent each state. The 2013 Maine delegation included Ryanne Dailey and Kelsey Burke. Click the links to read what they had to say about NYSC, and view other camp alumni.

Applications for the 2014 NYSC will be available soon.

Applicants should send completed applications by mail or electronically to: Maine DOE Science & Technology Specialist, Anita Bernhardt, 23 State House Station, Augusta, ME 04333, or email Anita Bernhardt.
