Maine Environmental Literacy Plan
Environmentally literate students know the components of healthy environmental systems and understand the science behind decisions related to those systems. They understand key, science-based concepts and connections, and have the skills and confidence needed to help develop technology and other solutions for Maine's evolving 21st century challenges.
The Maine Department of Education, in partnership with Maine Audubon, the Maine Environmental Education Association and the Maine Department of Conservation, developed a plan to promote environmental education in Maine.
