Homeless Liaison Database
Every school district in Maine is required to have a McKinney-Vento liaison. The following database was designed to help the public find local liaisons. If you find any errors in the database, contact the McKinney-Vento State coordinator.
Local homeless education liaisons are education staff responsible for ensuring the identification, school enrollment, attendance and opportunities for academic success of students in homeless situations. Some of these activities may be performed by the local liaison, while others are accomplished by coordinating the efforts of separate staff. By linking students and their families to school and community services, local liaisons play a critical role in stabilizing students and promoting academic achievement at the individual, school and district level.
