2007 Maine Legislative Review of DMR's Growing Area Classification Program
Introduction
Maine Sea Grant, University of Maine Marine Extension Service, was asked by the Maine Legislature to facilitate an independent review of the Shellfish Growing Area program of the Public Health Division at the Maine Department of Marine Resources. LD 1318 was signed into law in June, 2007, stipulating the general construct and purpose of this review. A final report from this review was delivered to the Joint Standing Committee on Marine Resources in January 2008. This web page provides materials associated with this review.
