Requesting a Book or an Article from Another LibraryInterlibrary loan services are available to members of the Bigelow Laboratory and Department of Marine Resources scientific community. Books and articles not found in the Library's collection can be requested from another library by emailing Pam Shephard, Librarian at . We are a member of the OCLC Online Computer Library Center, which provides online access and borrowing privileges to 57,000 library collections in 112 countries. Interlibrary loan requests may take 1-2 weeks depending on the location of the provider. Requests fulfilled by Maine libraries are free of charge. Requests provided by all other libraries may cost between $10-$15 per item. Providing all of the information requested speeds delivery. If you need help or have any questions, call Pam Shephard.
