Maine Municipal Shellfish Regional Offices

The Division of Shellfish Management and Coastal Permit Review supports four Regional Offices each staffed by a Marine Biologist.

The Southern Maine Office is responsible for Region 1 which extends from the Piscataqua River to the Kennebec River,
the Midcoast Office is responsible for Region 2 which extends from the Kennebec River to the Penobscot River,
the Hancock County Office is responsible for Region 3 which extends from the Penobscot River to Gouldsboro Bay, and the
Washington County Office is responsible for Region 4 which extends from Gouldsboro Bay to the St. Croix River.
