  Fire Extinguishers  

Vessels without a Fixed Fire Extinguishing System are required to carry:
    Less than 26’ – 1 B-I Extinguisher
    26’ to less than 40’ – 2 B-II Extinguishers
    40’ to less than 65’ – 3 B-II Extinguishers

Be Sure To Check Your Extinguisher’s Pressure Gauge Regularly

Vessels with a Fixed Fire Extinguishing System are required to carry:
    Less than 26'  --  Non Required
    26' to less than 40'  --  1 B-I Extinguishers
    40' to less than 65'  --  2 B-I Extinguishers

Vessels less than 26’ with outboard motors are not required to carry fire extinguishers if their construction will not permit the entrapment of explosive or flammable vapors

One B-II extinguisher may be substituted for two B-I extinguishers
