This program is designed for employees who are newly employed by the Department of Health and Human Services.
The agenda for the programs is as follows:
1. An introduction to the Department of Health and Human Services
2. Employee Benefits
3. Time and Attendance Management System
4. The Performance Evaluation System
5. Maine State Employees Association
6. Workers Compensation
A series of online policy trainings are also required as a part of New Employee Orientation.
The Training Unit will receive information regarding who has joined the Department from Human Resources and will then send an email with the link to the Orientation program and all the online policy training links to each new employee with a copy to the respective supervisors. Employees will have one month to complete the program and will submit completion forms online to signify they have gone through all the required components.
