HIV/STD and Hepatitis C Update

Intended Audience: Department of Health and Human Services employees, foster and adoptive parents and the staff of social service agencies providing services to clients of the Department

This three-hour workshop, which is particularly useful to case managers and direct service staff, will include a discussion of prevalence of HIV/STD and viral hepatitis in Maine, risk factors for transmission, prevention, and statewide resources for prevention and care services. Maine law as it relates to HIV antibody testing, confidentiality, and occupational exposure to HIV will also be discussed.
This program needs a minimum of 8 to 12 participants
