Message from the Superintendent (May 08, 2006)

"If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, "thank you," that would suffice." - Meister Eckhart
As I mentioned in my weekly update a couple of weeks ago, this week is National Hospital Week, and is an opportunity for communities throughout the country, to take time and thank, all hospital employees for their sacrifice and commitment to people who need care. I know I reflect everyone in this hospitals administration when I extend to all of you, our thanks and appreciation for all that you do, and the sacrifices you and your families make so that you can help support people who need our care.

This week we have a series of little "events" which is the hospital’s way of saying "thank-you".

Today… As you come in the staff entrance there are donuts and coffee in the staff break room. These will be available all day.

Tuesday, several Riverview administrators will be washing any and all staff cars. This will begin at 6:00 am and last until 5:00 pm, thus getting all shifts and all staff. Signs will be posted tonight to direct staff where to go.

Wednesday, in recognition for National Nurses Week, Riverview will be hosting our annual meal for all MHW and Nurses. There will be 3 meals to accommodate all three shifts.

Thurs will be a Volleyball game from 1:00pm to 2:00 pm in the gym (I hear Jamie will wear shorts!) as well as free Pizza for everyone in the staff break room at the employee entrance.

Pizza Pick-up times are 3:30 am 3rd shift,
11:30 am 1st shift
5:30 pm 2nd shift

Friday is a Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake Day, which will be served for everyone in the Courtyard café at 1:30 pm

Again, in a modest but heartfelt way, on behalf of all Riverview Administration, "thank you" for all you do.

David Proffitt
Superintendent
