Mental Health Worker I (4015)
($22,651 - $29,099 annually)

The Department of Health & Human Services, Riverview Psychiatric Center, has immediate vacancies for Mental Health Worker I positions on 2nd and 3rd shifts. This is paraprofessional support work involving the rehabilitation and security of clients in state institutions. Responsibilities include implementing programs in the treatment or education of the mentally ill, providing patient care, and maintaining resident areas. Employees may act as a group leader or primary aide over an assigned group of clients. Work is performed under general supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent; and completion of Departmental Approved Training Program, Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician Certification or current valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant as issued by the Maine Department of Education.

Registered Nurses

The Department of Health & Human Services, Riverview Psychiatric Center is seeking motivated, qualified psychiatric Nurses for all levels to fill part-time and full-time positions. Riverview provides state-of-the-art care to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. Riverview, in collaboration with the community, is a center for the best practices, treatment, education and research, for individuals with serious, persistent mental illness. We respect all clients, patients come first, and we are caring and compassionate.

Applicants must have a minimum of a BS/BA in Nursing, and at least one year of professional psychiatric nursing experience OR graduation from an accredited school of nursing plus one year of professional experience. Salary is contingent upon education and experience.
