Initiatives to Enhance Acute Stroke Diagnosis and Treatment in the Hospital Setting

Bidders Conference: April 17, 2008 starting at 10:00 a.m. local time, in room 600, 6th Floor Burton Cross Building, 111 Sewall St., Augusta.

The State of Maine, Department of Health and Human Services, Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of Chronic Disease, announces the availability of funding for qualified acute care hospitals to promote increased capacity and improvement in the diagnosis and treatment of stroke in the acute phase. Overall project objectives include increasing and/or enhancing acute stroke diagnosis and treatment capacity, increasing regional and state-wide sharing of experience, ideas, challenges and opportunities associated with acute stroke care, and enhancing the development of a stroke system of care for Maine.

Eligible to Bid: Applicants must be an acute care hospital, located in Maine, and providing stroke care to residents of Maine.

Proposal package(s) must be labeled with the RFP number and title.
