Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant
Purpose: To create and support a statewide prevention/health promotion
infrastructure that will:
- ensure every community in Maine has the opportunity to participate
in strategic prevention planning;
- cultivate a skilled prevention workforce;
- implement a prevention plan;
- implement evidence-based and culturallly
competent prevention programs, policies, and practices;
- and
evaluate results.
SAMHSA's Strategic Prevention Framework Five Steps:

- Needs, resources and readiness assessment
- Mobilize and build capacity
- Comprehensive strategic plan
- Implement evidence-based programming
- Monitor and evaluate
