Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant

Purpose: To create and support a statewide prevention/health promotion infrastructure that will:

  • ensure every community in Maine has the opportunity to participate in strategic prevention planning;
  • cultivate a skilled prevention workforce;
  • implement a prevention plan;
  • implement evidence-based and culturallly competent prevention programs, policies, and practices;
  • and evaluate results.

SAMHSA's Strategic Prevention Framework Five Steps:

  2. Mobilize and build capacity
  3. Comprehensive strategic plan
  4. Implement evidence-based programming
  5. Monitor and evaluate
