About the IRC

The Information and Resource Center (IRC) is part of the Maine Office of Substance Abuse. It houses a collection of books, videos, audiocassettes, and pamphlets which are searchable online. Library materials are loaned, and pamphlets and OSA publications are distributed free statewide.

In addition, the IRC maintains listings of treatment facilities, support group meetings, and other resources in Maine. Most of this material is available full text online.

Staff will assist with searches for information. Call or email your inquiries to us.

The IRC is the Maine Regional Alcohol and Drug Awareness Network (RADAR) State Center and a member of Substance Abuse Librarians and Information Specialists (SALIS).
